The club was formed in 1942 with the first show a year later.
Training classes were run on a weekly basis at several venues throughout the region until approximately 30 years ago when we started to meet at
Dalton Piercy Equestrian Centre and this is where the club still meets every Tuesday night (except Christmas and New Year) at 8pm.
The club was awarded Championship Show status in 1986 only to lose it
2 years later because of exhibitors double handling.
It took another 10 years to be reinstated. However the club was possibly the first to run Spectacular Open Shows in 1990 and 1992 with entries of 275
and 250.
Whatever we do we try to give club members and exhibitors what they
want keeping them in mind when running shows. We try our best to have
fair,
honest judges and to give exhibitors an enjoyable day out.
We now have a very well established obedience section to the club..Over the past months our members have achieved several awards,and have become very enthusiastic.Check out our achievements on the obedience pages.
